Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Raising Black Achievement ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects your personal information when you visit The Sleeper Squad website or buy the 2027 Black-Facts Almanac. We only collect what we need, and we never sell your personal information.

1. Who we are

The Sleeper Squad is created by Neil Mayers for Raising Black Achievement. If you have any questions about this policy or your information, email us at info@RaisingBlackAchievement.com.

2. Information we collect

  • Mailing list: your email address, if you choose to join the Sleeper Squad mailing list.

  • Contact messages: your name, email address and anything you include, if you email us.

  • Purchases: when you buy the Almanac you pay through PayPal. PayPal handles your payment details, and we do not see or store your card or bank details. We may receive your name, email address, delivery address (where relevant) and order details so that we can complete your order.

  • Website usage: basic technical information such as your browser, device, approximate location and the pages you visit, collected through cookies and similar tools on our website platform.

3. How we use your information

  • To send you Sleeper Squad news and updates, if you have joined the mailing list.

  • To reply to your messages and enquiries.

  • To process and deliver your order and provide customer support.

  • To keep the website secure and to understand how it is used so we can improve it.

4. Our legal basis

Where data protection laws such as the UK GDPR or EU GDPR apply, we rely on: your consent (for the mailing list); performing a contract with you (for orders); and our legitimate interests (for replying to enquiries, keeping the site secure and improving it). You can withdraw your consent at any time.

5. Cookies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies that are needed for the site to work and to measure how it is used. You can control or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the site work.

6. Other companies we use

We use trusted services to run the website, and they process information on our behalf or in their own right:

  • Squarespace: hosts and runs our website.

  • PayPal: processes payments for the Almanac. PayPal's own privacy policy applies to your payment.

  • Our email service provider: stores the mailing list and sends our emails.

  • Google Fonts: our pages load fonts from Google, which may receive your IP address when the fonts load.

We do not sell your personal information, and we only share it with others where it is needed to run the website, complete your order or meet legal requirements.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your information only for as long as we need it for the reasons above. Mailing list details are kept until you unsubscribe. Order records are kept for as long as the law requires for accounting and tax purposes. Emails you send us are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, receive a copy of it, and withdraw your consent at any time. To use any of these rights, email info@RaisingBlackAchievement.com. If you are not happy with our response, you can complain to your local data protection authority.

9. Unsubscribing

Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email us and ask to be removed from the mailing list.

10. Children

The Sleeper Squad is enjoyed by families, but our mailing list and purchases are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us their information, please email us and we will delete it.

11. International transfers

Our service providers may process information in countries outside your own. Where this happens, we take steps to make sure your information stays protected in line with applicable law.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. We encourage you to check it occasionally.
